A limited number of partial or full scholarships are available
for students from the Arab Region interested in the MPH and
MS programs at the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS). Full scholarships
cover tuition and related academic expenses, travel to and from
country of residence as well as basic living expenses. Partial
scholarships provide financial support for a range of these
expenses.
Applicants from the countries listed below are eligible to apply
for the scholarship: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Arab Jamahiriya, Morocco, Occupied Palestinian Territories, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
Application Process Prospective students interested in the graduate scholarships
should make sure to complete the following steps:
STEP 1
Submit an
Application
for Graduate Admission to the Office of Admissions at AUB).
The deadline for academic year 2012-2013 is May 1, 2012. (Keep a copy of your
completed application form to be sent with the scholarship
application).

Study on the Cover Page of the Application for Graduate Admission.
STEP 2
Applicants to the graduate program, other than AUB graduates and graduates of recognized colleges or universities in North America, Great Britain, Australia, and New Zealand, must meet the English Language Proficiency Requirement (ELPR).
These applicants must sit for an English Exam
(EEE, TOEFL or IELTS) to satisfy AUB English Language Proficiency Requirements (ELPR) for admission.

Students are advised to sit for one of the English Exam
as early as possible as many applicants do not pass the test the
first time and may need to repeat it.
Upon registering for these tests, applicants must specify that
results be sent to the AUB Office of Admissions.
Applicants are required to submit their English Language Proficiency Test scores
OR the registration slip
of the test with the Scholarship Application.

Applicants who take the TOEFL must use the institutional code
number for AUB: 0902, when registering for the test.
For information pertaining to IELTS applicants should

STEP 3 Submit a complete scholarship application file to Ms. Mitra Tauk including the
following:

Scholarship
Application
2. Recommendation
Form for scholarship (from your employer).
3. Two other recommendation letters from your supervisors or
colleagues
4. One copy of your completed Graduate Admission Application
5. Your scores for the EEE, TOEFL or IELTS OR the registration slip for any of those tests
6. One copy of your CV
7. One copy of your passport

Please note that if the recommendation letter/form is sent by email, it should be sent by the recommender himself /herself, meaning
from his/her email address. If the recommendation letter/form is sent by regular mail, it should be sent in a sealed envelope to the address above.
Based on the preliminary review of these documents, selected
applicants will be invited for an interview, in person at FHS
or by telephone if travel is not possible, to further assess
their eligibility for the scholarship.
Criteria for Selection

based on the following criteria:
1. Commitment to serve in public health in the region.
2. Relevance and duration of work experience in public health.
3. Extent of supervision in current employment.
4. Local need for public health graduates in the country of
applicant.
